1. Make an appointment with your GP and obtain a referral.

2. All appointments are made through our Everton Park rooms on 3353 9694.

  • We require your Name, Address, Date of Birth, Medicare Card details and your GP referral information.
  • The consult fee is $170 (rebate from Medicare of approximately $90).
  • If you do not have a Medicare card, we would still require a payment of $170.
  • If an in-rooms procedure is required, please make sure you notify us so that we are able to allocate the correct appointment time.
  • We endeavour to be on time on our appointments, however emergency is prioritised, which may mean a delay to your appointment time.  It is a good idea to contact our rooms to check if we are running on time specifically if you have another commitment afterwards.

3. Our weight loss patients are weighed at each appointment.

4. All new patients are required to complete a Patient Registration Form and hand in your referral.

5. At your consultation with Dr. Braun, it is important to have your questions ready for him to answer.  If you have any particular past health issue, let Dr. Braun know so that he is able to provide you personalised advice and recommendations.

6. If you are going ahead with surgery, you will be asked to sign a consent form. Our Defence members also sign an additional Request for Approval form.

7. Weight loss patients will need to pay a deposit of either $1000 at time of securing surgery date.  If you are an applying for Early Super Release, you would need to pay a deposit of $500 prior to preparation of your Medical Report for your superannuation release.  We are able to hold your date for you for a period of five days.

8. After your deposit is paid, we would notify the appropriate hospital and anaesthetist that you are on our booked for surgery.  Within 24 hours, you will be able to contact the hospital and anaesthetist to obtain a direct quote.
